The Old Rectory Meadow Moorings provides boaters with the opportunity for a permanent mooring along the River Avon near Tewkesbury, on the edge of the Cotswolds. Situated in a privately-owned meadow overlooked by the historic Old Rectory on the hill above, boaters can enjoy a quiet, private and secure environment in which to enjoy the River Avon.

Boaters can stock up on essentials at the Drapers Bakery & Stores which also houses the village post office. The fabulous Fox and Hounds pub is a short walk from the Moorings and the Royal Oak, on Bredon's Main Road, provides visitors with another watering hole.

The Moorings are located between the Tewkesbury and Strensham locks.
Bredon is an attractive and historic village with many fine timbered buildings including a 14th century tithe barn along with the Fox and Hounds pub dating from the 16th, century. Bredon Manor dates from the 18th century and the Old Hall from the 17th. The Old Rectory, which overlooks the moorings, dates from the early 15th century.

Bredon Hill dominates the River Avon for several miles rising some 961 ft and lies 3 miles north east of the village. There are many interesting walks on the Hill and it is as beautiful as AE Houseman described in A Shropshire Lad. It is said that eight counties can be viewed from the summit.
